Regarded as one of Latvia’s finest vocalists, Julia Viliumane is in a great demand in opera houses and concert halls all around the world. She graduated from the Jazep Vitols Musical Academy in Riga and then studied in Tchaikovsky Music Conservatoire in Moscow with a world-renowned opera singer Zurab Sotkilava. Julia is a laureate of few international competitions. Her performing career brought her to Moscow, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Bucharest, Prague, Dublin, New-York, among the others. In opera, she performed roles of Desdemona (Othello), Tatyana (Eugene Onegin), Mimi (Bohemia), Santuzza (Rural Honor) and Amelia (Ball Masquerade). Besides, Julia's repertoire is associated with chamber music; also it includes many songs and romances of famous Russian and foreign composers.
