
Evgenia Pilyavina
Born in Kyiv, pianist Evgenia Pilyavina immigrated to the United States in 1989 and continued her studies at the Manhattan School of Music. She won the First Annual Chopin Competition in New York and has performed at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Merkin Hall, among others. She has collaborated with renowned musicians across the United States, Israel, Sweden, Switzerland, and France.
A founding member of the Barton Piano Quartet, she made her international debut at the Cervantino International Festival in Mexico in 2015. She has participated in prestigious festivals, including AIMS in Catalonia, Gotland Chamber Music Festival, and Pulplinge Classique in Geneva. Evgenia is a dedicated teacher whose students have won major competitions, such as the Scriabin International Piano Competition in Paris and the Concours Suisse de Musique pour la Jeunesse. She is a faculty member at the United Nations International School and the founder of MAYA, a charity organization supporting young classical musicians.
