
Dmitry Rasul-Kareyev
Born in Moscow, Dmitry Rasul-Kareyev studied clarinet at the Moscow Central Music School and Moscow State Conservatory before receiving a full scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music in London. He has won numerous awards, including the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship and the International Debussy Clarinet Competition in Paris. In recognition of his professional standing, he was elected Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 2013.
Dmitry has performed at major festivals such as Verbier, Montreux-Vevey, and Aix-en-Provence. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has premiered works by contemporary composers, including Elena Firsova’s Invocation at the Oxford Chamber Music Festival. He has held principal positions with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. He is the founder and director of the Soloist Academy summer courses in France.
