Welcome to the 3d edition of Castleknock Music Competition! 

 

The competitions will take place from 12 to 14 of May 2023 with the Prizewinners Concert on the 15 of May 2023.

​

The 2023 Castleknock Music Competition is presented in partnership with Maestro Music Academy and EMFI: Emerging Musicians Foundation Ireland.  
The competition is open for emerging musicians of all ages.

Participating in a competition is a great opportunity for young musicians to build their stage confidence, obtain more experience in public performance, make new friends and receive memorable prizes and certificates and valuable feedback from the experienced adjudicators. There is a large number of different categories available to choose from. 

 

New in 2023:
Chamber Music Competiiton;
Piano Duo Repertoire Competition;
Rachmaninov 150 Anniversary:
Special Prize for the best performance of a work by Sergey Rachmaninov.
 

The online entries are open now and will be closed on the 17th of April 2023.

Entry fees are €27 - Solo competitions,
€35 - Duo Competitions (one piece)
€40 - Repertoire and Chamber Music Competitions,*.

*additional Eventbrite service charges apply 


Piano accompanists are provided for an additional fee. 
 

All competition rounds will be taking place in
Castleknock Community College.


Prizewinners Concert with the presentation of Special Awards
and cash prizes will take place in St Anns Church
at 3:30 pm on Monday 15th of May 2023
.
